Our Dinosaur Friends! 🦕🌿

Look at this amazing black and white drawing! It’s like a special colour plate showing us two fantastic dinosaurs. On the left, we have a Triceratops! Isn’t he cool? He has a big frill around his head, like a fancy collar, and three sharp horns – two above his eyes and one on his nose. His mouth is open, and he looks like he’s smiling. Maybe he’s saying ‘hello’ in dinosaur language! The Triceratops was a plant-eater, so he probably loved munching on plants like the one next to him.

To the right, we see a Stegosaurus! This dinosaur is super famous for the big, bony plates that run all down its back. They might have helped it stay warm or perhaps looked really scary to other dinosaurs! The Stegosaurus also had a spiked tail, which was great for defence. Imagine how it would swing that tail! This drawing shows a happy little bush in the middle, full of green leaves. Both dinosaurs are standing on a ground covered in short grass, suggesting a peaceful prehistoric meadow.

Fun Facts About These Dinosaurs! 🌟

Did you know that the Triceratops means ‘three-horned face’? It’s true! And its frill wasn’t just for show; it might have also helped protect its neck. The Stegosaurus, on the other hand, means ‘roof lizard’ because people thought its plates looked like roof tiles when they were first discovered. Scientists still aren’t totally sure what the Stegosaurus plates were for, but it’s fun to imagine!

These two dinosaurs lived at different times and in different places, but this drawing brings them together for us to enjoy. It’s a simple yet wonderful way to learn about these incredible creatures. What do you think they would do if they could meet in real life? Maybe they’d share some yummy leaves or go on an exciting adventure together!
